How to navigate the site
This information has been categorised into sections
you can access by clicking on the coloured buttons
at the top of each page. Once you are in a section,
you'll notice the menu in the blue section on
the left will change to be content-specific for
each section.
Information of a general nature, eg news, current
events/seminars, links, information about Arthritis
NSW as an organisation, is available in the blue
menu at left when you are on the Home
Page.
A Site Map is also available for this site,
providing a clickable list of all pages on the
site.
Screen Resolution
Pages on this website were designed to be viewed
at a screen resolution of 800x600 pixels. Other
resolutions (eg, 640x480 or 1024x768) should
also be fine, but will affect the size at which
text and images appear on the screen - a lower
resolution makes things larger but reduces how
many fit on a single page, a higher resolution
allows much more to fit but presents everything
smaller.
Anyone who experiences difficulty viewing information
on their screen may like to try a lower resolution.
Conversely, anyone wishing to reduce the amount
of navigation required (eg, using left, right,
up, down arrows) may prefer a higher resolution
to maximise the amount fitted on each page.
Some versions of Microsoft Windows (eg, Windows
XP and Windows 2000) also include a handy utility
called "Magnifier" which allows users
to magnify an area of their screen by running
a 'magnifying glass' icon over it. In Windows
XP, the Magnifier utility may be found by clicking
on Start and then selecting Programs - Accessories
- Accessibility - Magnifier. Further information
about this utility may be found on the Microsoft
website at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/advanced/help/about_magnify.htm
Links
Links to other sites will open up in a new internet
browser window when you click on them with the
left hand mouse button. This means you can still
keep this Arthritis NSW website open
while you look at another website.
Download files Some
pages contain documents you can download. These
are all in Adobe Acrobat format, a standard for
document production on the web. You will need
Acrobat Reader to open them. If you don't have
Acrobat Reader, you can download it free of charge
by clicking on the icon at right.
What should I do to download or print?
How do you download? Windows users should click
on the link with the right hand mouse button,
and choose "Save Target As..." and
then pick a folder to save it to on your hard
drive.
You can choose to print individual pages too,
by clicking on the printer button in your internet
browser window, or clicking on File and then
Print in the internet browser menu.
