As a charity we depend on regular contact with
our donors and members. In connection with
this, we may ask for your personal details
such as your name, address, telephone number
or email address. Information is collected
to provide a full financial history of Arthritis
NSW and to assist with planning and fundraising
activities. The information is also needed
to supply donors with a taxation receipt.
At the time of collection of information, we
will take reasonable steps to ensure you are
aware of our likely use of the information.
You are not obliged to provide the personal
information requested, however if you do not
provide the information requested when making
a donation we are unable to provide you with
a taxation receipt.

disclosed for the purpose for which you have
provided it, not for any other purpose without

All the details of our members, donors and
contacts are held on a single computer database
at Arthritis NSW. Access to this database is
restricted.

personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised
access, modification or disclosure and information
is stored securely whether in an electronic
or physical form. Any data destroyed is disposed
of in a way which protects the privacy of information
in an appropriate manner.

time to personal information we hold about
you. You may ask us at any time to correct
personal information about you, which you believe,
is incorrect or out of date. Any corrections
should be advised in writing.
Data Quality
We takes steps to ensure information is accurate
and up-to-date by updating our records whenever
changes to the data come to our attention.

likely to be inaccurate or out of date by reason
of the time which has elapsed since it was
collected or by reason of any other information
in our possession.
