Scholarship: Arthritis NSW wishes to ensure that all children with JIA in NSW have an equal opportunity to participate in our camps. So, if the cost of camp is a current barrier to your child’s participation, please select ‘Scholarship’ as the payment type and we will contact you to discuss the possibility of a supported scholarship.

Financial assistance: Arthritis NSW tries to ensure that cost does not become a barrier for children to access these camps, and so, whilst the camp price is already subsidised, if this price is not something you can currently accommodate, we encourage you to contact our organisation as we have the capacity to provide financial assistance. This assistance will be provided on a case-by-case nature, so please contact us on 02 9857 3300 or

Travel Subsidies: For families traveling significant distance and/or from outside of NSW, Arthritis NSW is able to reimburse families the cost (economy) for flights to and from camp for 1 child and 1 adult. Return flights to the value of ~$550 (Child only) to $1150 (child and parent) can be arranged for families outside of NSW (e.g. from Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide etc)
Please note however that parents will be responsible for their own accommodation during the week of camp and at their own cost.
A child is able to travel unaccompanied on flights and it is as your discretion as to whether you feel this is appropriate for your child.
A bus will be organised to pick up and transfer your child from the airport to the camp venue.

Covid19 Considerations and General Health:

Please note that ANSW will be working closely with and under the guidance of NSW Sport and Recreation staff (who are given directives and health and safety guidance via NSW Health directly) regarding Covid19- Safe practices and protocols. As always, as children with JIA are often using immunosuppressant medications, please be mindful not to attend camp if you believe your child is unwell and could potentially pass this illness on to others.
