Please help people in rural NSW gain better access to heath information
The generosity of donors to our Rural Health Appeal last November, has enabled Arthritis NSW to schedule community health seminars at four rural centres in 2019/20: Mudgee, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and Queanbeyan.
Our Rural Health Program gives people in rural communities access to information and education to help them better manage their condition, with the aim of living well with arthritis.
Last year’s event series in Bathurst, Parkes, Albury, Marrickville and Henty was highly successful, as was the Mudgee event in 2019 which attracted an audience of 150 people.
Last year we raised $19,000. This year we hope to raise even more to deliver health education to the rural communities who need it.
Can you help us?
Here’s what participants had to say about the Mudgee event:
The presenter did a first-rate job. I was amazed at his breadth of knowledge and how he conveyed it to the audience. I also learned that I have to exercise more.
Arthritis NSW made easy explanations of a complex topic and helped us learn to live with arthritis and get on with it. So I’m signing up for a Strength & Balance class.
The information was pitched at the right level for the audience. Others I spoke to on the day agreed with me. It was very informative, yet relaxed.
We thank you for your generosity!
