Introducing Our Online Education

Get Moving Series

The Get Moving Series will be a compilation of recorded exercise videos. I will be demonstrating a variety of very basic exercises that you can do in or outdoors, at home or (when things get back to normal) at the office. Regardless of the current climate, it is extremely important for your health that you remain as active as possible throughout the day. I can appreciate that it can be a little de-motivating to exercise at home; especially if you are used to, for example, group lead exercises; have no real knowledge of what exercises to do, and if you have no equipment. I will help you by demonstrating basic circuits with minimal, or no equipment, that can still be challenging and fun! These mini circuit videos will also be accompanied by instructional documents that you can easily access online. Access the series here.

Community Health Education Series

While we would normally bring our community education sessions to you, and deliver them face to face, we obviously cannot do this currently. We will be recording summarised webinars of our most popular community educations presentations. As these will be recorded, we won’t be taking live Q&A, however, I encourage you to call in, email or leave comments (where applicable) with any questions regarding the content delivered. The first recording will be of our most popular community education presentation; Managing Arthritis. To attend live zoom presentations, call us on 02 9857 3300.

Empowering You Series

The Empowering You series will be a combination of written and video content aimed at increasing your health literacy and knowledge of current, evidence-based treatments that will empower you to make better informed decisions or have better informed conversations with GPs or specialists about all things arthritis related. The first video in this series is a short presentation about how to identify unreliable information, i.e. fake claims or fake science. Access the Series here.

The Ask Kat blog will continue as per usual. I encourage all ages with any type of arthritis to keep sending in questions for me to answer. Additionally, I may address some of our FAQs in a recorded webinar, where I can expand on and discuss them in detail. Access the Ask Kat page here.

If you have a question that you would like me to answer, please submit your question to kkeane@arthritisnsw.org.au.

I hope you are all well and staying safe – and watch this space!
